How To Help
Message from the Founders
After our first visit to Uganda in 2010, we arrived home
We started helping with money,
The first recipients were 15 street kids living in atrocious conditions, in what could loosely be described as an orphanage in the slums of Kampala. Aged from 6 to 15, these kids were untrusting, haunted and held no hope for their future. We found a beautiful orphanage outside of Kampala surrounded by greenery, which we funded to relocate the boys.
The transformation has been amazing. These kids have lost that haunted look; that untrusting look that says to you that you can’t be trusted; that this is too good to be true. Instead, these expressions have been replaced by openness, friendship,
We know money helps and is what made it happen; but continually going back to see them, listening to them, helping them and loving them has been the real key. We know these boys now have a future that can be anything they want it to be. They have a chance.
We at SER (our family business) are now hooked. We see this as our reason for being and because of this, we have committed to pay for all administrative costs so that every dollar raised, goes to exactly where it should go – to give people with no chance – a Chance.

All it takes is a little money and plenty of love. We guarantee you will enjoy the experience.

Schools have 3 Terms per year. Boarding School is the best option for many impoverished families as it means children get 3 meals a day, clean water, good accommodation and the opportunity to do homework with lighting in most hostels. Many underprivileged families cannot afford the regulatory uniforms let alone boarding fees, this is often enough reason for children to miss out on an education. We must be mindful that most of their parents have not had the opportunity of education.
Examples of costs include:
- $6 Ream of paper
- $10 School backpack
- $20 School Shoes
- $30 Scholastic requirements (exercise books, pens, etc)
- $60 School Uniform
- $160 Tuition for 1 term ($40 per month) in a Primary Boarding School
- $200 Tuition for 1 term ($50 per month) in a Secondary Boarding School
- $300 Tuition for 1 term ($$75 per month) in a Special Needs Boarding School
